I bought the new Jordin Sparks album, Battlefield yesterday and love it. Sure it’s got a few more ballads than I might normally like …but they aren’t the soupy-sappy kinda ballad…nope! They’re the slick-hooky kind of ballad…meaning filled with catchy hooks! With the writing/producing team she had with this album, it totally makes sense.
The remix package for first single “Battlefield” was decent. Mixes by Bimbo Jones, Jason Nevins, Mike Rizzo and others were all…DECENT. With an anthemic jam as strong as “Battlefield” – the remixes should have been equally as powerful. Here’s hoping that second single, “S.O.S. (Let The Music Play)” does “Battlefield” one better. We’re off to a good start, with this Matt Pendergast remix posted exclusively on Billboard.com. What do you all think of this remix?
