How exciting is this? One of my favorite imports, Dan Black, has gone into the studio with another major talent, Kid Cudi, to record a remix of Black’s single “Symphonies.” Not sure when this new remix will be available commercially, but you can listen to it on The Hype Machine now (the album version is available to download on iTunes now). You can also watch the new video with Kid Cudi, which premiered this evening on IFC. This remix is pretty dope, if I don’t say so myself and I am LOVING the video, which was directed by Chic and Artistic. Another fun fact worth noting, according to ArjanWrites, the song features orchestral samples of the 1984 film score to John Carpenter’s Starman. Arjanwrites is also letting you lovely people download the track for free. How nice of him. Check it out! The physical U.S. release of Dan Black’s masterpiece will be available sometime in March.
