The video for “You and Me” was the first I’d seen (AND heard) of Brooklyn-based pop/rock duo Elizabeth & The Catapult (AKA Dan Molad and Elizabeth Ziman) and I fell in love. The video was quirky and cute and there was something just so alluring about Ziman’s vocals AND camera presence. The newly released video for “Perfectly Perfect” may not feature too much of Ziman but the song is just another ingredient in this love potion for me. I can’t get enough of these guys! “Perfectly Perfect” is from the band’s debut release, Taller Children, released on Verve back in 2009. The single features a doll as the protagonist in this Beck Underwood produced/directed video. The video uses, what might not be considered “PRIMITIVE,” stop-motion animation style but the whole thing really just works for the song.
