I still LOVE Sky Ferreira. I mean SERIOUSLY…I am in love with this girl. I am so anxious for her full length album to come out, I can’t even think clearly! At least we have the UBER-FABULOUS As If EP to keep us happy until then. As I mentioned previously, the EP was released to tide fans over until the album’s release. Released this past March, the 5-track EP is pure magic. Every single song is absolutely perfect, absolutely singleworthy. Job well done.
To keep fans EVEN MORE on the edge of their seats, Ferreira is releasing lyric videos for some of the EP’s brilliant cuts. First up, we have the provacative “Sex Rules,” which I mentioned in my last post. Next – my absolute (second) FAVORITE track on the EP – “99 Tears.” Ferreira co-wrote the infectious track with Greg Kurstin and Nicole Morier (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Britney Spears). Most recently, a lyric video for the Bloodshy & Avant-produced “108.” I suppose you could say that “108” is my LEAST favorite song off the As If EP but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like it. It’s just not my favorite. The song does showcase Ferreira’s sense of humor and personality, which is never really lacking in anything she does (HELLO – check out the video for “Obsession“!). While lyric videos never really have been my thing, I gotta hand it to Capitol Records for the quality of these clips. The Graphics are POPPIN. Wow. Unlike many lyric videos, these actually make me want to watch! Check them all out down below. Hopefully we’ll get one for my FAVORITE favorite track, “Haters Anonymous” next. Now, get excited for Sky Ferreira‘s debut album, (HOPEFULLY) due out later this year.
