    Rihanna Where Have You Been


    “Where Have You Been,” Rihanna‘s latest single, hasn’t even been officially released and it’s already takin’ names and breaking records.  According to VEVO, the recently released, Dave Meyers-directed music video has broken VEVO‘s record for most views in 24 hours! Go RiRi!

    Produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut, Calvin Harris and Co-written by Ester Dean, Henry Walter, Geoff Mack, along with Luke and Harris, “Where Have You Been” will officially be sent to radio May 8th in the U.S. (May 28th in the UK). Taken from Rihanna‘s sixth studio album, “Where Have You Been” is the fifth U.S. and third international Talk That Talk single.  Following the album release last November, Rihanna‘s latest dance club anthem debuted on the Irish and UK singles charts at #47 and #61 respectively and at #65 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart.  Again – BEFORE IT’S OFFICIAL RELEASE. 

    “Where Have You Been” was recorded in Norway and is the second single to feature a Calvin Harris collaboration, the first of course being her global top 5 smash “We Found Love.”  The song follows the same dance/pop clubby vibe of previous singles, perhaps taking it to even more of a big room, anthemic level.  Now, if you weren’t sold on the merits of the single by itself, wait until you watch Rihanna‘s stunning, video.

    Filmed in Los Angeles by director Dave Meyers (P!nk “There You Go,” “Get The Party Started“; Britney Spears “Lucky,” “Radar“), the video sees Rihanna transform from sea creature (a Battleship tie in anyone?) to tribal fire Goddess in a matter of seconds.  Rihanna is dripping with sex from beginning to end, with the star wearing a variety of barely there costume pieces, fabulous make up and hair and SICK Nadine “Hi-Hat” Ruffin choreography.  Following the video’s VEVO premiere April 30th, it proceeded to break VEVO records, accumulating 4.93 million views in a 24-hour span.  Check out the video BELOW and download “Where Have You Been” (iTunes US/iTunes UK) at an online retailer near you.     • Is there anything else from Talk That Talk that sounds like Where Have You Been and We Found Love? I love her work with Calvin Harris!

    • Unfortunately those were the only two Calvin Harris collaborations. I do love this album though, it's pretty solid through and through. There's just many diverse sounds on this album!
