Well this is just AWESOME. British soul-rock duo (and Music Is My King Size Bed favorites) Graffiti6 (AKA Jamie Scott & Tommy D) is the new VEVO Lift Artist for the next few weeks. What an honor!  Fans will have the chance to get to know Graffiti6 on a deeper level through exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, video premieres and intimate live concerts.  That’s a HUGE amount of exclusivity and a HUGE opportunity for Graffiti6 to boost their exposure online and through social media, given VEVO‘s recent site innovations.  According to the press release:

“LIFT gives fans the power to break new artists like Graffiti6 through social media interaction, including a new Facebook application. Through the app, fans can be part of the duo’s team and directly help them spread the word on their music. Past LIFT artists include One Direction, Karmin, Jessie J, Tinie Tempah and more. Access Graffiti6 on VEVO at: http://vevo.com/lift.”

As you well know, the Sony Music/Universal Music co-owned VEVO is the world’s leading music video and entertainment platform, which relaunched itself with a brand new design back in early March.  The newly redesigned VEVO features “a bigger player, continuous playback of videos and personalized playlists” that are synced with a user’s iTunes library and Facebook page.

After having made their SXSW debut this year in Austin, Graffiti6 is about to embark on a U.S. tour, opening for singer/songwriter Eric Hutchinson.  The boys will play 21 dates with Hutchinson, and follow that almost immediately with the launch of their own headlining tour, which kicks off May 29th in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Check below for a list of all of the band’s tour dates.  Graffiti6 released their debut album, Colours on January 21st via Capitol Records, preceded by the release of first single, “Free,” which peaked in the Top 5 at AAA Radio and is currently climbing the airplay charts at the HOT AC format.  To promote the album and single, the band made appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan and The Rachael Ray Show and the “Free” video is currently in rotation on VH1, MTV, Music Choice and MUN2.

Second single (and my personal favorite track) “Stare Into The Sun,” is scheduled to impact AAA Radio on April 9th. Originally, the single was going to be a part of lead singer Jamie Scott‘s solo album, but instead was re-purposed as a Graffiti6 collaboration.  The song was submitted to The Sun newspaper and was chosen for a TV ad campaign promoting the popular UK publication.  The song has since been featured in episodes of Grey’s Anatomy (ABC) and The Secret Circle (CW). Check out a music video that was made for the single below.
