Electropoppers Gossip Stream Upcoming Album, Unveil Second Single

    Gossip
Criminally underrated electropop outfit, Gossip is now streaming their upcoming new album, A Joyful Noise, in it’s entirety on the band’s official website. Go listen!  The album, due everywhere May 22nd via Columbia Records, was produced by pop mastermind Brian Higgins (Kylie Minogue, Pet Shop Boys, Girls Aloud) and serves as the follow up to 2009’s Music For Men.

The album’s lead single, “Perfect World” came out in the States back in March, but only saw it’s UK release this past week (iTunes UK).  Single #2, “Move In The Right Direction” (not to be confused with Bananarama‘s fabulous 2005 single “Move In My Direction“) is up streaming on their official SoundCloud page, or embedded BELOW.

Written by Gossip front woman Beth Ditto, alongside Higgins, Toby Scott, Jason Resch, Fred Falke and Kieran Jones, “Move In The Right Direction” is a proper second single. It’s a beautifully layered up-tempo dance pop anthem that utilizes Ditto’s powerful vocals to their fullest.  I’m absolutely LOVING how Ditto harmonizes with her own backing vocals towards the end of the song, it really paints a beautiful picture.  I’m already salivating at the thought of dance remixes made to the already flaw-free original version. It’s going to be SICK!
Perfect World” is available to download now (iTunes US/iTunes UK) and A Joyful Noise will be out May 22nd everywhere on Columbia Records.  Check out the stunning video for “Perfect WorldBELOW.
