[Hot Video Alert] Giulietta – VooDoo

    Giulietta Voodoo
You might remember my piece on Australian dance/pop singer/songwriter Giulietta from earlier this month when I made her one of my ‘Ones to Watch in 2012.’ Well, looks like I was right about that. Giulietta just released a scorchingly hot video for her new single, “VooDoo,” and it’s definitely worth watching.  Produced by Simmy Beats, “VooDoo” is the second single lifted from Giulietta‘s as-yet-unreleased sophomore album, 911: Code Pink. The song offers dance music lovers a taste of what’s to come on the new album, which Giulietta promises to be “edgier” than the material found on her 2010 debut, Ascension

The Melbourne-born Giulietta‘s debut album was mixed by Rob Orton (Lady Gaga) and Chris Cox (Britney Spears, Rihanna), spawning the hit single, “Vertigo” which peaked at #16 on Billboard‘s Dance Club Play Songs chart, making her the first unsigned Australian artist to ever break the Billboard dance chart, thanks in part to some SERIOUSLY FI-YAH mixes by renowned DJ/producer Dave Audé.  Her sound is like a pop melting pot of sorts, sounding at times like Kylie Minogue, other times like Robyn.  If you appreciate edgy electropop, then you’re going to love Giulietta.  No word yet when the new album or single will be officially released, but you can download both “VooDoo” and the previously released single “Pixelated” for free on Giulietta‘s official SoundCloud page HERE.  Download Giulietta‘s older stuff on iTunes BELOW.
