[Hot Video Alert] Kylie Minogue – Timebomb

    Kylie Minogue Timebomb

Kylie Minogue, everybody’s favorite Aussie electropop queen, dropped a bangin’ new single and video today, May 25th, the latest and greatest of a series of surprises celebrating K25 (a year long celebration of Kylie’s 25 years in music).  Sounding like a mix between Kylie’s Fever and X eras, “Timebomb” is a bonafide SMASH-to-be, incorporating Kylie’s trademark synthpop with elements of house and nu-disco, not to mention a healthy smattering of fist-pump inducing “WOOPs.”  A quintessential sexy summer dance single, “Timebomb” is practically SALIVATING for a bevvy of seductively SICK remixes from today’s hottest DJ talent. Bring it on!

Written by Karen Poole, Matt Schwartz and Paul Harris, “Timebomb” is available EXCLUSIVELY on iTunes worldwide through next Wednesday, May 30th (iTunes US/iTunes UK) and can be heard on the radio starting today on SiriusXM BPM Channel 51 (everywhere else tomorrow).  The playful new Christian Larson-directed video also premiered today and features an über-sexy, semi-incognito Minogue strolling through central London’s back-alleys and busy street, giving major flawless sexy face.  The video is DEFINITELY not for the faint of heart (or the workplace), with a breathtakingly STUNNING Minogue flaunting her assets in some of the most fierce and provocative fashions of her entire videography.  UK audiences can tune in to see Ms. Minogue perform “Timebomb” live on the semi-final of “The Voice,” scheduled to air this Sunday, May 27th on BBC1.

K25 (AKA the year of Kylie Minogue) celebrates a fantastic 25 years in the industry, marked by a special surprise video released on the 25th of every month on Kylie.com.  The Best of Kylie Minogue, a brand new compilation album, is set to come out June 4th in Europe and June 19th in America via EMI Catalogue.  Featuring twenty one of Kylie’s best known and favorite tracks from her impressive career, the album is certainly a must have for ultimate Kylie fans everywhere.  Earlier this year, Kylie dazzled fans with her sold-out ‘Anti-Tour,’ performing a variety of rarities, B-Sides and obscure album tracks in Melbourne, Sydney, Manchester and London.  Rather than doing the whole arena thing again, Minogue instead opted to perform a stripped down set in more intimate venues, baring her soul and immense talent for those, lucky enough to score tickets.

In addition to her upcoming performance on “The Voice,” Kylie will be singing at Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace in London on June 4th, and headlining the BBC’s Proms in the Park concert in Hyde Park on September 8th, backed by the BBC Concert Orchestra.  Check out the “Timebomb” video below and pick it up on iTunes!
