[Hot Video Alert] P!nk – Try

    Pink | Try
Try” is P!nk‘s latest single off her sixth studio album, The Truth About Love and it’s a masterpiece.  The pop/rock ballad is one of the clear standouts from the American singer/songwriter’s latest effort and the video is a work of art in and of itself. It’s absolutely beautiful!  Written by busbee and Ben West and produced by the always phenomenal Greg Kurstin, “Try” went on to become a top 10 hit for P!nk in Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland and peaking (so far) at #50 on the Billboard Hot 100 here in America.

The song is about taking risks with love, no matter the consequences and the Floria Sigismondi-directed video serves as the perfect complement.  The video, choreographed beautifully by the Golden Boyz (Madonna, Britney Spears) as well as by stunt choreographer Sebastien Stella and features a vulnerable and half naked, neon paint splattered P!nk dancing with a gorgeous hunk of a man (Broadway‘s Colt Prattes), showcasing her toned body and insane athleticism.  Reportedly inspired by the Apache dance, “a highly-stylised Parisian street performance,” the video is one of P!nk’s favorites of her entire career.  She’s an absolute wonder to behold in this visual masterpiece, and her live replication of the video’s intensely physical routine on the recent American Music Awards is proof positive that P!nk is a true force of nature.

Following P!nk‘s performance on the AMA‘s, both her album and single saw a digital sales boost with her single entering the iTunes top 10 and the album jumping all the way to the #1 spot on the iTunes Album Chart.  On the Billboard Charts, “Try” currently sits at #50 on the Hot 100, #70 on the Radio Songs chart, #25 on the Pop Songs chart, and peaked at #15 on the Digital Songs chart.  The Truth About Love debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at #1, becoming P!nk‘s first #1 U.S. album.
