Hot Video Alert: Taylor Swift – Blank Space

The visual for Taylor Swift‘s OFFICIAL second single, “Blank Space” is HERE! Following a little kerfuffle where Yahoo! accidentally leaked the video early, the OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL version is up for everyone to see and enjoy (and I love it). While the storyline isn’t anything original (woman dates man, man is unfaithful to woman, woman flips her SH*T and destroys his life), it’s fun to see Taylor playing an UNHINGED LOVE-SICK LUNATIC (you know know…exactly how the media portrays her to be).

For anyone that ever doubted Taylor Swift‘s ability to effectively make the (often difficult) transition from country to pop—well she proved the haters wrong by delivering a VERY SOLID pop record full of VERY SOLID pop songs. Not only that, but 1989 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 1,287,000 copies breaking her own personal record and becoming the nineteenth album to sell over a million copies in a single week.  WHOOSH. In addition to shaking off haters, Taylor is defending her controversial decision to pull her entire catalog from streaming service Spotify—a decision that I, at least partly respect. Swift is now choosing to focus her energy on her upcoming world tour (which kicks off in the Spring) as well as her new single, “Blank Space,” easily one of my favorites from 1989.

Blank Space” was co-written by Swift. Max Martin and Shellback—the same duo responsible for producing the track. The video (BELOW) was directed by Joseph Kahn and filmed at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York. In case you’re curious who the HOT male model is in the video…his name is Sean O’Pry and you can follow him on Instagram and Twitter.
