As promised, LA-based electropop duo Wrathschild (Wolfy + Simon Curtis) unveiled the AJ Schorman-directed video for their new single, “Angeles.” Having only really seen a small part of Los Angeles pre-Coachella, my experience there didn’t really leave me wanting to come back anytime soon. Wrathschild‘s “Angeles” video however has me hankering for a trip back. Check out the video BELOW the cut.
Props to Simon and Wolfy for making this video feel so expensive. Being indie artists today is no easy feat, that’s for sure, but the “Angeles” video is beautifully shot and impeccably styled, with stunning visual effects adding extra glitter and gold with a fair amount of moodiness thrown in for the sake of balance. The perfect companion for Wrathschild‘s s moody yet sparkly electro-pop ballad, the “Angeles” video has me excited to see what these guys do for their next visual.
“Angeles,” out now on iTunes, follows Wrathschild first release, “Fall Into Love,” both produced by Ray Reich and taken from the duo’s forthcoming debut EP. Check out the stunning “Angeles” video BELOW.
