Listen To This: Phoebe Ryan – Chronic (The Knocks’ High In Harajuku Remix)

Phoebe Ryan premiered the Knocks Remix of her latest single, "Chronic."

You can ALWAYS count on NYC-based electronic duo B-Roc and JPatt (AKA The Knocks) to turn out a catchy af remix and they do it once again here, with a fresh take on rising star, Phoebe Ryans latest pop smash, “Chronic.” Stream the bangin’ new remix below:

The remix takes the easy-breezy vibe of the original and kicks it up a few notches. While it doesn’t quite elevate the song into raging HOUSE ANTHEM territory, The Knocks do a fine job making “Chronic” infinitely more danceable, which works for me! With the help of amped up tempo and, of course The Knocks‘ trademark beats, Ryan’s vocals are more isolated—especially in the verses, which makes the lyrics and their “your love is like a drug” message hit harder. The remix, while still VERY MUCH pop, removes a lot of the haze from the original, transforming it into a summer-ready, sure-fire house party staple.
