Listen To This: Riva – Lose My Mind

Introducing RIVA, a bright young pop singer from the UK. She'll release her new single, "Lose My Mind," a real Drum & Bass corker, on September 25th.

Riva is a talented up & coming singer from the UK who needs to be on your radar. Once you hear this beautiful young woman’s BIG VOICE, I think you’ll agree. Riva (born Rebecca Parvin) has one of those character-rich, honey-coated voices destined to sing on a massive dance track. While Riva’s already been compared to big-voiced divas including Paloma Faith, Ella Eyre and Emeli Sandé I am reminded of iconic 90s-00s dance/pop diva Anastacia and even a little bit of Katy B (thanks to the MAJOR drum & bass vibes). It’s the kind of voice that will stop you in your tracks to ask, “WHO THE EFF IS THAT?” Check out the London-shot video for “Lose My Mind” below.

Riva wrote the song with a couple of other writers in her bedroom on a boat in Montenegro. “Lose My Mind” was produced by British drum and bass producer/DJ Wickaman who hand-picked Riva to sing the song after searching thousands of SoundCloud pages for the perfect voice. Wickaman is a drum and bass legend in his own right, working alongside the likes of Adam F, Asnide Slide, DJ Hype, Hoodlum, J Majik, Mavrik, MC Morgan and RV to name a few. He also gave “I Remember” by Deadmau5 a DnB remix (alongside J Majik). Despite being a fresh out the gate talent, Riva already has a following thanks to a performance of “Lose My Mind” in Ibiza last year at the Sundown Music Festival, where she performed her song in front of 50,000 people. This is girl is definitely one to keep your eye on.

Check out RIVA, a promising new British pop vocalist with a big voice. Her new single, "Lose My Mind" is a real CORKER of a choon, out September 25th.

Lose My Mind” is out September 25th, but be sure and watch her sing an acoustic version of the track over on femalefirst.co.uk as well as remixes from RedMilk, Steve Smart, FilthyDirty and Adam Turner. Also check out Wickaman’s own “New Skool Mix” below.
