Norah Jones’ ‘Little Broken Hearts’ Debuts at #2 on Billboard 200; Fall Tour Dates Announced

    Norah Jones Little Broken Hearts
Norah Jones‘ fifth album, the Danger Mouse-produced Little Broken Hearts debuted at #2 on Billboard‘s Top 200 chart, also landing at #1 on the Top Internet Albums and Current Rock Albums charts following it’s May 1st release.  Selling over 110,000 units across all formats in the U.S. during it’s first week out, Little Broken Hearts has been earning RAVE reviews, some of the BEST reviews, in fact, of her entire career!  FANTASTIC! Way to go Norah. It’s great to see an artist with this sort of longevity, especially given how different the album is musically, from all of her past releases.  SPIN Magazine even went as far as to call Little Broken Hearts the second essential record of Norah Jones’ career.”  Now, that’s quite the endorsement!

Outside of the U.S., Little Broken Hearts has been doing quite well, making the Top 5 in 14 countries including Australia, Canada, Denmark, Germany and the UK, as well as six #1 debuts in Austria, Belgium, France, Japan, Switzerland and Taiwan.  Having previously announced a string of tour dates this Spring and summer, Jones recently added new dates for the Fall, with tickets going on sale starting yesterday (Friday, May 11th).  The 12-date run will launch from Minneapolis on October 7th and will cover the Midwest, and Texas before concluding with a concert at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre in New Orleans on October 23rd.  Check out a full list of tour dates BELOW.

Blue Note Records marked the release of Jones’ new album by reissuing her entire catalog (Come Away With Me, Feels Like Home, Not Too Late, The Fall and Little Broken Hearts) in an array of higher fidelity editions.  All five albums have been specifically Mastered for iTunes, insuring increased audio fidelity.  Blue Note and EMI will mark their new relationship with high-definition specialist HDTracks by issuing all five titles in multiple digital formats delivering CD quality resolution or better. In addition, audiophile specialist Analogue Productions will release all five albums in limited edition 200 gram vinyl and SACD editions, bundling the entire catalog plus a bonus album of rarities in LP and SACD box sets.
Little Broken Hearts is available for download everywhere (iTunes US/iTunes UK) right now, as his lead single “Happy Pills.”  Check out the “Happy Pills” video BELOW and go check out Norah Jones on tour in a city near you!
