Rejoice Natalia Kills fans! A U.S. release is in sight for Natalia’s debut album, Perfectionist! After releasing the album in Europe this past April, Natalia has her sights set on the States once again. Perfectionist features hit single, “Mirrors,” a Top Ten hit in both Austria and Germany as well as a #2 hit in Poland. Here in the States, “Mirrors” sits pretty at #5 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart, becoming Kills’ first bonafied dance hit in America.
Due out August 16th (via will.I.Am/Interscope/Cherrytree Records), the album features production and collaborations with the best of the best including Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West), Theron Feemster (Michael Jackson, Mary J. Blige), Martin “Cherry Cherry Boom Boom” Kierszenbaum (Lady Gaga, t.A.T.u.), Fernando Garibay (Britney Spears, Ashley Simpson) and Akon. Having just completed a round of tour dates with label-mate and Swedish pop superstar Robyn, Kills will soon be heading back to Europe for a string of as-yet unannounced tour dates. If you missed Natalia on tour, you check her out on collaborations with Far East Movement, and LMFAO, appearing in videos for both artists. Not only that but Kills has been busy collaborating with Music Is My King Size Bed favorite Frankmusik on his forthcoming album.
Check out the super hot video for Natalia’s latest single, “Wonderland.” The sexy, cinematic clip was co-directed by Natalia herself, another example of Kills exercising the creative control allowed by her supportive label, Cherrytree Records. I wish more artists were given such free reign. Then again, I wish more artists were as talented as Natalia Kills.
