Allow me to introduce XY&O (PRONOUNCED: EX WHY AND OH) an up and coming synthpop trio based out of Cardiff, Wales home to another one of my favorite bands Until The Ribbon Breaks (although that’s where the similarities end). “Low Tide,” the first official offering from XY&O (AKA Alexandersson, Tudor and Kelzo) is a euphoric summer synthpop anthem, sure to get you up and onto the dance floor, or perhaps around a beach bonfire. MAJOR beachy vibes going on here people. Listen to “Low Tide” below.
I honestly don’t know too much about these guys just yet, but their song, “Low Tide” made its radio debut on BBC Introducing last week, a promising start for any new artist. According to Indie Current (where “Low Tide” debuted), the song features on XY&O‘s forthcoming EP, Shimmer & Shade, which is expected out in the coming months. PROMISING POP indeed.
