‘The Voice of Baltimore,’ Rye Rye Drops New Mixtape; Debut Album Out May 15th

    Rye Rye Go Pop Bang
Baltimore Maryland’s own hip-hop princess Rye Rye releases her debut album, Go! Pop! Bang! this Tuesday, May 15th via N.E.E.T./Interscope Records, featuring hits like the Robyn-assisted “Never Will Be Mine,” and Vengaboys-sampling “Boom Boom.”  To celebrate the album’s impending release, Rye Rye is giving fans a delicious taste of what’s to come, with the release of a new mixtape, which you can check out BELOW.

In other Rye Rye-related news, long-time mentor M.I.A. took to her Twitter recently, to announce that Rye Rye, along with Azealia Banks and Missy Elliott would join her on the upcoming “epic remix” of her last single, “Bad Girls.” Epic indeed.

Dubbed “the voice of Baltimore,” 21-year old Rye Rye was fast tracked to fame and success when she was signed to controversial singer/songwriter M.I.A.‘s label, N.E.E.T. Records.  Past collaborations have included hits with Diplo, DJ Blaqstarr and of course, M.I.A. herself.  More recently, Rye Rye joined forces with Swedish electrodiva Robyn for her summer smash “Never Will Be Mine,” and Far East Movement on their fall track “Jello.”  Her last solo single, the infectiously catchy “Boom Boom” was released this past March.
